Fodder For Debate On Videotaping Children

Now this video should really make Beth Accomando mad!  It's a completely different animal than the Star Wars kid (see Beth's and others thoughts on this in the comments section) since this child was clearly coached as to what she should say.  It also feels way more staged with the whole princess costume, etc.   This video doesn't do much for me, but it's interesting given the debates that have taken place on Culture Lust regarding videotaping one's children and coaching peformance out of them.

“Friends”?
C’mon. If you’re gonna stage a cheesy video with your kid, you should at least teach them the proper words. Even though she hasn’t weighed in yet, I’m on Beth with this one.

Not even vaguely believable, or particularly funny. I wonder how many takes it took, since the camera cuts were nearly every other second it seemed.

I haven’t been following the comments here about videotaping kids, but a staged performance is generally not very interesting to me, and I would never do one with my daughter.

Don’t even get me started.... I couldn’t even make it through the whole video it was that painful. People like this shouldn’t be allowed to have kids, or even dogs, or better yet don’t give them access to cameras!

Anyone have a number for Child Protective Services?
