China's rise during the last three decades could be called remarkable by many of the world's economists and political scientists.

The awakening of this giant as an economic partner and a political rival poses unique opportunities and challenges for the Obama administration. Suisheng Zhao will present his perspective on the issue as part of the semester-long lecture series examining U.S. foreign policy.
