The San Diego Museum of Art invites guests to explore the works of famed modernist, Alexander Calder in the exhibition, Calder Jewelry during this month's Culture & Cocktails. Celebrate the holidays in style sipping Trumer Pils and O.N.E. Water as the DJ spins and lights gleam, throughout the Museum rotunda donned in holiday decor.
Calder Jewelry brings together 90 works including necklaces, bracelets, brooches, earrings and tiaras - all demonstrating Calder's love of abstraction and his unique mastery of this wearable art form.
Create your own wearable wire sculpture using colored glass, making a one-of-a-kind, Calder-inspired brooch. Or you can make your own top hat using a variety of art materials. For those party-goers not ready to call it a night, head on over The Starlite for the Culture & Cocktails after party from 9:30 - 11:00 p.m., featuring Urban Renewal Projekt.
Tickets are Free for members, $15 for nonmembers.
