Danae and Kiveli Doerken perform classical piano works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Rachmaninoff:
This concert will be a delight for piano lovers. As a special feature, the background of the composer and the work will be introduced at the beginning of each piece, allowing a deeper educational experience for you and your children.
Danae and Kiveli Doerken are two child prodigy piano virtuosos who happen to be sisters. Residing in Germany, they play concerts throughout the world and have won numerous prizes at international piano competitions. Danae (18) played for US Secretary of State Condoleza Rice in Berlin, Germany. Kiveli (14) played for the German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Washington DC. Both performed for the Dalai Lama in Hanover, Germany.
This concert is a benefit of the Shantipuri Friends Foundation. All proceeds support educational and relief projects for poor, underprivileged and physically challenged children in India. A short presentation of these projects will be given.
Admission is by voluntary donation. Your generosity is gratefully appreciated! The Shantipuri Friends Foundation is a tax exempt public non-profit charity under IRS code section 501 (c) (3).
