Join violinist and former columnist with the San Diego Jewish Heritage as she hosts a special presentation about Zubin Mehta, world renowned conductor.
Zubin Mehta was born in Bombay, India in 1936. In the 1950’s he left to study conducting in Vienna. In 1969 he became the Music Advisor to the Israel Philharmonic and was made Music Director in 1977 (and in 1981 became their Music Director for Life). He has conducted over 2,000 concerts with this extraordinary group including tours spanning 5 continents.
