Volunteers are needed on Sunday June 14th starting at 11am to spend a great day in our local mountains helping with fire recovery activities at Eagle Peak Preserve.

The preserve is an absolutely beautiful 517-acre open space area that has been saved from development for people to explore and re-connect to nature. Home to many rare and endangered plants and wildlife as well as sensitive archeological and cultural resources, the area was burned in the Witch Creek Fire of 2007. We need your help to assure that this wonderful area remains a special destination for people and wildlife to enjoy.

During the event we will remove and recycle debris that was uncovered by the fire. We will also have a guided tour of the preserve and lunch will be served.

All tools and gloves will be provided. Community service hours can be verified for those that require them.

Come out and experience the beauty and wonder of nature while giving back to the environment.
