SurfAid International Earthquake Relief Fundraiser to benefit the victims of the September 30 earthquake in Padang, Indonesia. There will be great silent auction and raffle items and a portion of tickets sales that will all go directly to this aid effort.

SurfAid International, a non-profit organization dedicated to the alleviation of human suffering through community-based health programs, has launched an Emergency Response Appeal to assist the people of Padang, Indonesia. The capital city, on the island of Sumatra, is currently in a state of disaster and suffering in the wake of last week’s devastating earthquakes that wreaked havoc on the island. SurfAid is in need of urgent funds to buy medical supplies, tents, tarpaulins, hygiene packs and construction kits.

I just spent 8 months in Padang and what a lively city! The people took me in as if I was a long lost family member. I will be at this event to support the relief work there for sure.
