Community Coaching Center and Daniella Devarney Photography present the culmination of a groundbreaking participatory photography experience: "Through the Lens of Autism."

Throughout the summer, youth across the autism spectrum worked closely with professional photographer Daniella Devarney to explore digital cameras as a means of communication and self-expression.

While working on social and behavioral skills in community setting like the San Diego County Fair, Cabrillo National Monument, Coronado Island, and the San Diego harbor, program participants learned photography techniques that helped them complete Devarney’s assignment: What do you want to show the world?

The result is "Through the Lens of Autism," a benefit photography show featuring custom-framed limited edition prints shot by program participants. Additionally, a single-edition coffee table book documenting the process will be auctioned off to support Community Coaching Center.

Please join us in Hillcrest at Jake’s on 6th on November 21st from 2:00-4:30pm for our downtown preview event, and in Solana Beach at Mabuno Gallery on December 5th from 7-10pm for our formal gallery show.
