Want to Volunteer? We could use your help…
A team of more than 200 Cricket Communications employees, business partners and active duty military volunteers will help The Arc of San Diego’s North Shores Vocational Center with much needed interior and exterior repairs. The Arc of San Diego, the largest, most comprehensive provider of services to people with disabilities in San Diego County, was founded in 1951 by parents concerned about the lack of services for their children.
Volunteers will help create a water-wise garden for the center’s courtyard, paint the center’s interior and exterior, and install new appliances in the training kitchen, among other repairs. State Assembly member Lori Saldaña and City Councilwoman Donna Frye will also be on hand to participate in the rebuilding activities. Entertainment will be provided by the Monarch School Steel Drum Band.
In addition to its involvement with this San Diego project, Cricket Communications is a national sponsor of Rebuilding Together, the leading national nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership. Cricket and its employees are working with Rebuilding Together to provide repairs to 43 homes in 37 cities this year.
