City of San Diego residents are encouraged to bring their used or leftover auto products for disposal and recycling to our Auto Product Recycling Events conducted around the City.
*Only used motor oil, oil filters, contaminated oil, antifreeze, and auto batteries are accepted.
* The service is free to City of San Diego residents.
* Maximum transportation limit: 10 gallons.
* These events are geared to "home mechanics" only. No commercial or business waste. Some local retailers (AutoZone, Firestone, and Kragen) also accept used oil and oil filters. For local retail locations: http://www.ciwmb.ca.gov/usedoil.
* For information on private businesses that accept used oil, oil filters, or vehicle batteries throughout the year or for information on other antifreeze recycling options, call Environmental Services at 858-694-7000
These events are funded by the City of San Diego Enviromental Services Department and a Grant from the California Integrated Waste Management Board.
All events are held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

January 23, 2010 Location: Mission Bay South Shores Park, SeaWorld Dr. at South Shores, San Diego, 92109. From I-5, take the Sea World Drive exit and head southwest. The park is located before Sea World and has a large parking lot.
