Marsha Kay Seff will present the inaugural lecture of a new series on aging cosponsored by the Scripps Ranch Eldercare Alliance, Scripps Ranch Friends of the Library and the Scripps Miramar Ranch Branch Library on Wednesday, September 2, at 10:00 AM.
She will discuss "Without Laughter, Growing Old is No Laughing Matter." Ms. Seff is a former San Diego Union-Tribune columnist whose thoughtful column often described the challenges she faced caring for her aging mother. She is also editor of the San Diego Elder Care Directory, prime newspaper for ages 50+, and the After-Hospital Planner for Children of Aging Parents published by San Diego Union-Tribune with major sponsorship from County of San Diego Aging and Independence Services.
There is no charge for the program, but RSVPs to 858-578-0430 are requested by August 31 in order to assist with planning. Refreshments will be served.
