Artists who choose books as vehicles for their art have evolved in the last few years to a group of determined authors/artists that insist on visual and literal interplay in their work. This lecture covers the work of many of these artists and their particular stories: the seeds that inspire the books, and the stories that come from making them.
The Athenaeum presents various series of art and music lectures, including topics in classical music and jazz, visual art, art history, and architecture, with speakers from San Diego and beyond.
