'Opera Scenes' At SDSU
"Opera Scenes" features students from the School of Music and Dance in scenes from twelve different operas from across a wide spectrum including Bizet's "Carmen," Massenet's "Werther," Mozart's "Le Nozze Di Figaro," Verdi's "Falstaff," as well as a scene from "The Scarlet Letter" based on the famous novel by Nathaniel Hawthorne and written by noted American composer Lori Laitman.

Take Interstate-8 to College Avenue. Exit at College Avenue and travel southbound.
Parking On Campus Near The Music Building:
• Parking Structure 4 (PS4) (*Recommended) - from College Ave. turn right at the first traffic light south of the I-8 onto Canyon Crest Drive. Follow the road until the stop sign next to Parking Lot W. Purchase a parking permit ($1/hr) from the yellow boxes located in the corners of W lot. Proceed to Parking Structure 4 located next to W lot. You may park in any student parking spot in PS4 (levels 3-8.) Take the elevator to the eighth floor and cross the pedestrian bridge, following signs to Performing Arts Plaza. The Music Building (Smith Recital Hall and Rhapsody Hall) will be on your right. The Exercise and Nutritional Sciences Building (ENS-200) will be on your left. The box office for all venues is located outside Smith Recital Hall in the northeast corner of the Music Building.
• Parking Structure 5 - from College Ave. south turn right at the second traffic light onto Lindo Paseo. Go 2 blocks to first stop sign. Turn right on Campanile Dr. Go 1 block and turn left on Hardy Avenue. Parking Structure 5 (PS5) is at the end of Hardy Ave. on the traffic light with 55th St. Look for a yellow parking permit machine and place the permit on your dashboard. Exit parking structure and walk following the dashed line on the map to the Music Building.
