Lisa Sowle Cahill, a leading figure in contemporary moral theology and Christian ethics, will give the 10th Annual John R. Portman Lecture in Roman Catholic Theology at the University of San Diego. Her topic is “The Common Good and Health Care: Justice, Faith and Hope.” The talk takes place at USD's Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice.
Cahill is the J. Donald Monan Professor in the department of Theology at Boston College.
The Portman lecture is funded by an endowment given in honor of Msgr. John R. Portman, the founding chair of USD’s Department of Theology and Religious Studies.
