At this event, there will be a lecture, Q&A period, and a book signing.

Soccer skills demonstrations from the San Diego Sockers and the San Diego International Rescue Committee Refugee Soccer Team.

"Outcasts United" is the story of a refugee boys soccer team, the remarkable woman who coaches them, and the town where they live. It's a story about the challenges posed by our quickly changing world, and one that reminds us of what is possible in this country when we put our values in action.

Books will be available for purchase from your local independent bookstores: Warwick's, Mysterious Galaxy, The Book Works and The Yellow Book Road.

One Book, One San Diego events are made possible by the generous support of Lloyd Pest Control.

KPBS would like to thank the International Rescue Committee for all the support they provide to our refugee community in San Diego and their continued support for One Book, One San Diego.
