In conjunction with “Bicycles and Bloomers” (a new exhibit opening June 26th, exploring the role of the bicycle in the emancipation of women), expert docents from the Coronado Historical Association will lead a 2.5 hour, six-mile bicycle tour of historic Coronado Landmarks on four Sunday mornings this summer. A booklet of historic photo reproduction enabling cyclists to compare “then and now” views of the landmarks sites will be included with the narrated tour.
Designed for ages 10 years and up with no more than 12 participants, the group will ride at a casual pace with frequent stops. Participants may bring their own bicycles or use one provided by Holland Bicycles in Coronado.
Tour dates are June 27, July 11, 18, and 25. Join us for history in fresh air!
Vintage bicycles and garb are welcome! The cost for members is $25 with their own bicycle; $40 for those requiring a rental (included in price). Non-members fees are $35 for those with bicycles; $50 for those requiring a rental (again, rental is included in price).
More information and Historic Coronado Bike Tour reservations are available by calling the Coronado Historical Association at 619-435-7242 or online at www.coronado history.org.
