    Map | Website
  • AGES All ages
  • COST $55 - $65

Make your own bamboo flute under the guidance of Martin Espino, scholar, performer, and educator. This easy to play “end blown flute” is like a recorder. It is tuned to the pentatonic scale (5 notes or black notes) and produces a sound that is very pleasing to the ear.

It is a scale common to Indigenous North, Central, and South America. In this class you will learn how to properly and safely sand, clean, and decorate your flute with native American designs; and how to play and create your own music. Martin will discuss the culture, geography and benefits of bamboo to our environment.

Fee includes all materials.
Cost: Members $55, non-members $65.
Pre-registration required by July 28.
