First Sunday Music Series - Friends of the Encinitas Library
Under the leadership of its founder, Bill Sumner, the trumpet choir consists of nine trumpets, a tuba, and a rhythm section. The inspiration for this ensemble, which uses Bb trumpets, piccolo trumpets and flugel horns to create a unique brass sound, comes from the recent success of similar trombone and French horn ensembles that have met with popular acclaim during recent concert performances. Their commonality is their love of making music and the desire to share that with others.
Free to the public.
