Are you interested in forensics? The Museum of Man will host activities that introduce elements of physical anthropology through a bone comparison of primates. Science Family Day is a park-wide celebration with activities at most museums. Ages 17 and under are free with a paid adult.
Examine reproduction skulls of humans and other closely related hominids. Identify different human bones and learn what they tell us about people. Visit several Museum exhibits, then move to the classroom to take measurements and interpret findings. Students will compare their hands and feet with those of gorillas as well as measure skull features to solve a fossil mystery.
