San Diego Botanic Garden spices up springtime with its Annual Herb Festival featuring a wide array of the freshest aromatic plants and a special appearance by prominent American botanist and herb aficionado, Dr. James Duke, this year’s esteemed guest of honor. Dr. Duke will speak about spices and medicinal foods, and will autograph copies of his new book.
Guided tours of the lush herb garden will be provided, as well as A-Z of Herbs information booths and ongoing speakers who will be on-site to chat with visitors about herb-related topics. Guests will also have an opportunity to purchase their favorite herbs in the Herb Festival market place and children will be able to participate in activities focusing on dill, the Herb of the Year.
