Lecture: Shamans, Art and Creativitiy

What does shamanism have to do with the origin of art? You might not be thinking of neurochemistry as the answer to this question. Dr. Alana Cordy-Collins, Archaelogist and Professor at USD, will talk about the relationship between this ancient form of communication with the supernatural or spiritual realm, the inspirations and creation of art and the activation of certain human brain chemicals.

Location: Coronado Museum of History & Art, 1100 Orange Avenue, Coronado, CA 92118. Directions (Google Maps)
