Japanese art, culture, and tradition will come alive at the 8th annual Friends of Taka Sumi-e Art Show and Exhibition. Under the guidance of San Diego Community College instructor Takashi Ijichi, original works of art by students and wearable art will be displayed and demonstrated. Japanese culture and traditions will also be showcased on both days through the ancient tea ceremony and performances by Japanese dancers and musicians.
Dates: March 27 and 28, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Casa del Prado, Room 101, in Balboa Park.
Directions & Parking:
Take Hwy 163 South to Park Blvd Exit. Turn left at Park Blvd and the left onto Village Place. The closest parking would be the Carousel/Spanish Village lot or the lot adjacent to the Natural History Museum. You can also take the Balboa Park Tram to the Prado stop and walk east along the Prado to the Casa.
