Celebrate the lifeways of the American Indian through traditional dance, music, art, storytelling, and cuisine. The artwork includes jewelry, textiles, sculpture, baskets, pottery, paintings, and beadwork in styles ranging from the traditional to the avant-garde.
The Market provides a respected and juried venue for Native American artists to speak directly with their audience while they present and offer their wares for sale. Live demonstrations inside the Museum of Man include cultural performances by storytellers, dancers, and musicians throughout the weekend to highlight our regional Native Americans and provide attendees with a focused and exciting overview of the culture. Artist demonstrations will take place throughout the weekend, both inside the Museum and in the outdoor California Plaza. This year we hope to continue offering native foods, including frybread, Indian tacos, and posole.
Admission: $5 for adults and seniors, and $1 for children ages three to 17. Admission includes entrance to the Museum and all exhibitions and the festivities.
