Third Wednesday Meet the Author Series - Friends of the Encinitas Library
Wednesday, May 19, 2010 • 6:30pm

Cathy Mayer is lucky to have found her dream job! She has been dog training for eight years, and she says it's not a job when you love what you do. She is skilled in dog obedience and pack behavior. She and her three Labrador Retrievers spend most days mentoring and training local pets and their people. All three work with her as mentors, demo dogs, and therapy dogs.

Cathy hopes to author a book entitled, "In the Eyes of a Demo Dog," and she has many funny and informational stories to share with audiences. She will discuss some basics of pack behavior, quick ways to get your dog focused on you, and the many joys of therapy dog visits and how to get involved. Her special assistant Madeline, a pretty chocolate Lab, will be present to give all who are willing to receive it, the best therapy possible – dog love.

Free to the public.
