The Belly Up in Solana Beachwill be hosting a benefit concert and silent auction for Kat Mills on Monday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. The benefit will help raise funds to relieve the burden of the medical expenses accrued when she was hospitalized for heart failure due to a genetic disorder.
Kat Mills, 42, is a beloved and longtime employee of the Belly Up and is adored by many of her local patrons. Her miraculous recovery was due in part to the quick response of the Solana Beach Fire Department and the staff at Encinitas Scripps Memorial Hospital.
The benefit will be featuring SoulRaye, Stripes and Lines and DJ Man-Cat. The price for entry is $20.
The Belly Up is also hosting a silent auction and raffle drawing. To donate money or silent auction items, please contact Meryl at meryl@bellyup.com by Nov. 24, 2010.
Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online.
