The “Trailer Park Queen” donations-at-the-door shows are original one woman performances of story-telling, Spoken Word and songs, performed by Teresa Gunn, Artist in Residence for Street of Dreams.
They are fundraising events whose entire proceeds go to Musicians for Education's Street of Dreams education programs. The funds raised go towards college preparatory classes for youth who are at the highest risk of going to prison due to the generational effects of drug addiction, alcoholism and poverty.
This showcase is also a community forum that integrates the general public with adult students in various addiction recovery programs. In addition, it serves as an extended study class ( Alcohol and Other Drug Studies- AODS-San Diego City College) for K-12 teachers, college professors, probation officers and drug and alcohol counselors who are interested in new innovations in the field of addiction recovery, education, outreach and primary prevention.
We hope to see you at the show. If you can’t make it but would like to donate, we accept donations at all levels.
