On Thursday, April 7 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., instructor Lauren Becker Downey will lead a workshop on fabric basket weaving at the Bravo School of Art.
Fabric baskets make beautiful gifts or home decorations. These coiled baskets are quick and easy to make and a clever way to use up scraps of fabric, old clothes or yarn! Delight your children by turning their outgrown clothing into keepsake baskets. This is a great project for quilters who want to use up fabric. Fabric baskets can also be a very healing project for anyone who has lost a loved one, by making a "memory basket" out of their clothing. Please bring scissors and a lunch.
