Bravo School of Art explores basic book binding techniques in this fun and relaxing beginning level workshop with Helen Shafer Garcia.
Learn about the basic materials and folding, sewing and gluing techniques needed to construct a book. Create two hand-bound book structures with decorative paper covers and journal style pages onto which you can embellish, draw and paint.
Make a Pamphlet stitch book and Multi-section Coptic stitch book for journaling or to give as a delightful gift. You’ll also gain useful tips on where to buy supplies, see book arts shows, and get contacts to local groups that support Book Arts. No book binding experience is necessary.
