In 2011, the Japanese Friendship Garden will hold a monthly Temari “embroidered ball” class. Learn the ancient art of Temari based on Barbara Suess book, "Japanese Temari. A Colorful Spin on an Ancient Craft.” Temari are highly valued and cherished gifts, symbolizing deep friendship and loyalty.
Instructor Laura Breen will teach you in this January class how to make a Temari ball, marking simple four divisions and to wrap threads to create a design in the color of your choice. The class take place January 15th, 2011 on Saturday 10a.m. - 1p.m.
