Learning to draw the human figure is an adventure. Start with an exercise making large continuous circles and curves. Observe the human body as it stands before you and look for all the curves and circles inherent in it. At the beginning of each class, you’ll take some time to become familiar with muscle structure and movement.
The model progresses from 30 second to 25 minute poses while emphasis will be on proportion, intuitive quality of line, and shading techniques that give depth to the human form. Materials list provided upon registration. The class takes place on Tuesday, June 7th – 28th, 2011 at 1 – 3:30p.m.
Costs: $128 member / $149 non-member Model fee $40
