La Jolla Music Society proudly presents the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the world’s most prominent orchestras, in their San Diego debut at the Civic Theatre on Friday, March 4 at 8 p.m.

Conductor Semyon Bychkov leads the Philharmonic in Brahm’s Symphony No. 2 in D Major, Opus 73 which they premiered in 1877.

No other musical ensemble is more consistently and closely associated with the history and tradition of European classical music than the Vienna Philharmonic.

In the course of its 160 year history, the musicians of this prominent orchestra have been an integral part of a musical epoch which, due to an abundance of uniquely gifted composers and interpreters, must certainly be regarded as unique.

A pre-performance lecture begins at 7:00 p.m. and is open to all ticket holders. Lecture will be given by Nicolas Reveles, titled "Schumann and Brahms: The Clara Connection."

Ticket Price: $105 | $70 | $40 | $25 (depending on seat selection)

Location: San Diego Civic Theatre: 1100 Third Ave., San Diego Ca 92101 Google Map
