The third concert of the 2011 Winter/Spring Concert Series of the City of San Diego Public Library will take place on Sunday, March 20, 2011 with Scott Paulson on a variety of instruments and sound effects and Angelica Eclar on piano. The free program will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the third floor auditorium of the Central Library.
The program will be an old-school classical radio story hour for the young and the young at heart.
Follow a music-filled springtime tale of an ugly duckling who becomes a beautiful swan, featuring Mr. Paulson and Ms. Eclar performing in the style of classic young people’s music radio broadcasts, as well as: duck music from Prokofiev, swan music from Tchaikovsky, water music from Handel and Debussy, storm music from Beethoven, ragtime music from women composers.
Scott Paulson is an award-winning soundscape artist who has been heard on radio, television and film. His own performance ensemble, The Teeny-Tiny Pit Orchestra, provides live music and sounds for silent film screenings, ballet productions, radio dramas, operas, and theatrical productions.
