Why did the Japanese government arrest the captain of the Chinese trawler which collided with Japanese coast guard vessels off the coast of the Senkaku Islands last Setptember? The Japanese and the Chinese have their own version of the story. In this seminar the speaker analyses the incident and discusses the present and future of Japan-China relations.
