John Thurston teaches you about the Digital Single Lens Reflex camera (DSLR) and all the controls to produce stunning photographs, though most DSLR users use their camera in Automatic mode and lose all creative control of their photography. Regain your creativity and improve your camera skills!
Explore all basic camera controls; ISO, aperture and shutter speeds and reading your histogram for exposure control, white balance and lighting, composition, and shooting in RAW vs. JPEG modes. Please bring your camera with its manual, memory card and a charged and/or spare battery. If possible, please bring your laptop. Optional readings are The Digital Photography Book 1, 2 or 3 by Scott Kelby. This class takes place on Thursday, March 31st 2011 at 6 – 9p.m . Register online.
