Cooking Class: The Mediterranean Diet
Above: Dietitian Donna Wolf.
If you're looking for a heart healthy eating plan, the Mediterranean diet plan fits the bill. Research has shown the Mediterranean diet helps reduce heart disease, incidents of cancer, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease.
The Mediterranean diet incorporates the basics of healthy eating — plus a splash of flavorful olive oil and perhaps a glass of red wine — among other components characterizing the traditional cooking style of countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Join registered dietitian Donna Wolf for an evening of Mediterranean cuisine. The class takes place on May 18th, 2011 at 10a.m.
*Bring an apron, chef's knife, containers to carry your leftovers home and wear comfortable closed toe shoes.
