Walk for Hope to Cure Women’s Cancers will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Point Loma Nazarene University. Participants can enjoy a fun-filled day while raising funds to support research for women’s cancers at City of Hope, one of the nation’s leading cancer research and treatment centers.
The San Diego walk will be hosted by San Diego 6 Morning News reporter Ruben Galvan and morning radio co-host Geena the Latina of Channel 933 and will feature live music and entertainment, a patient speaker, children’s area, sponsor giveaways and a survivors’ pavilion with complimentary massages, refreshments and goody bags.
Registration for the Walk begins at 7 a.m. and the 4k Coastal Challenge or 2k Scenic Stride walks begin at 9 a.m.
