Teen artists are invited to the San Diego Museum of Art to celebrate the special exhibition, "Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man: Works by Rubén Ortiz-Torres" on November 9, 2011.
Meet and mingle with other teen artists while having the chance to learn about the ideas behind this unique exhibition, Teen Art Cafe: Mexican Punk Art.
Café activities will include art projects inspired by the drawings, paintings, and photographs of contemporary Mexican artist Rubén Ortiz-Torres.
Participants will have the opportunity to view the development of an on site mural project led by artists from Writerz Blok of San Diego, and to take part in an after hours visit to the galleries. Light refreshments will be served.
