"Roots" is the 1977 American television miniseries based on Alex Haley's work "Roots: The Saga of an American Family." San Diego Mesa College Professor Starla Lewis discusses select sections of this television miniseries to address the impression it made on African American history, race relations, and the impact it had nationally.
