Partnering with the theater community, Art of Élan presents "A Fiddler’s Tale" on this second concert of the season, a work for narrator and small chamber ensemble that was written by famed jazz musician Wynton Marsalis.
In an effort to modernize "The Soldier’s Tale" by Igor Stravinsky, Marsalis combines elements of jazz, swing and ragtime in this haunting tale of damnation that features a female violinist who sells out to the devil, who is portrayed as a record company executive.
