UC San Diego Entrepreneur Challenge, 6th Annual Fall Kickoff Celebration

The UC San Diego Entrepreneur Challenge invites you to join us on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 for our 6th Annual Fall Kickoff Celebration.

This event is free of charge, and will start with a networking dinner from 6 PM - 8:30 PM in the Price Center West Ballroom located at the University of California San Diego. At the event join Dr. Irwin Jacobs and Keith Ferrazzi as they discuss why great relationships matter in business.

The mission of the UC San Diego Entrepreneur Challenge is to foster community involvement and technological innovation by bringing multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and business-minded students together with local area entrepreneurs and professionals in order that they might shape the world of tomorrow by securing the health of San Diego’s economy today.

Dr. Irwin Mark Jacobs is co-founder of Qualcomm, pioneer and world leader in CDMA digital wireless technology. Dr. Jacobs served as chief executive officer of the Company until July 2005 and chairman of the Company's board of directors until March 2009. Dr. Jacobs has led the commercialization of CDMA technology and its success as the world's fastest-growing, most-advanced voice and data wireless communications technology. He holds several CDMA patents, contributing to Qualcomm's extensive portfolio of issued U.S. and foreign patent and pending applications.

Keith Ferrazzi is an expert on business relationship development, and is the author of the bestseller, "Who’s Got Your Back". Ferrazzi is a thought leader and advocate for corporate citizenship, rallying executives around initiatives to improve healthcare and education nationwide. Ferrazzi has been published in The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Inc., and Fast Company.
