From DaVinci to Picasso’s work, portraits have had an impact on us all. In this beginning portrait class, whether working from your own photograph or one you have found, learn to produce emotional content as well as a likeness. Working in Pastel is an experience in layering and blending. The incredibly rich pigments can achieve vibrant skin tones.
Learn to draw the proportions of the human face and body, and to transfer your image onto fine art paper as you apply the Pastel as if it were paint. Materials list provided upon registration.
Instructor: Sally Phillips
Date: Monday, October 13, 2011 from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
