Pastels have a depth and richness to them that is unique to this medium. The fun begins by blending colors before moving on to defining shapes in a still life. Apply basic color of each of the objects as they are arranged in relation to each other. Before long and before adding any details, the artwork is filled with life and drama. From there, apply layers of color that will bring the subject to life. You will be encouraged to take and work from your photographs as it helps to train the eye to look for the design and content of each picture. Work at your own pace and within your own individual style. Materials list provided upon registration.
