April is Landscape Architecture Month and across the country landscape architects will be holding special events to raise awareness and understanding of the role landscape architects play in making the world a better place.
In San Diego, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) is offering four free walking tours throughout the county on April 26, 2012 at 12 noon, inviting everyone to get outside and discover spaces and trails designed by landscape architects. Each walk will last approximately one hour.
One of these tours is: WALK UCSD PROGRAM, Diana Bergen is the campus Sr. Landscape Architect at UCSD. She will lead a tour through one of the walking paths on campus. She will discuss the value of walking, describe the Walk UCSD program, give a brief history of landscape architects who have shaped UCSD, and talk about the UCSD Campus Master Plan which includes walking paths.
