April is Landscape Architecture Month and across the country landscape architects will be holding special events to raise awareness and understanding of the role landscape architects play in making the world a better place.
In San Diego, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) is offering four, free walking tours throughout the county on April 26, 2012 at 12 noon, inviting everyone to get outside and discover spaces and trails designed by landscape architects. Each walk will last approximately one hour.
This is one of the tours:
EXPLORING BALBOA PARK’S TRAIL SYSTEM: Mike Singleton, Principal at KTU+A Planning and Landscape Architecture, was responsible for the preparation of trail maps for information kiosks in Balboa Park to help guide park visitors to the numerous trails in the Park from several gateway locations.
