Panelists from across the country will offer their insights on a diverse range of topics to contextualize the Museum’s diverse holdings in Asian Art and the two new special exhibitions, "Echoes of the Past" and "Dyeing Elegance" at the San Diego Museum of Art.
Speakers include Keith Wilson, Associate Director of the Sackler Gallery and Curator of Ancient Chinese Art, Washington, D.C., and Dr. Wu Hung, Professor of Early Chinese Art, University of Chicago, Illinois, both speaking on Chinese Art; Joe Earle, Vice President, Japan Society & Director, Japan Society Gallery, NYC, New York, speaking on Japanese Decorative Arts; and Dr. Catherine Glynn Benkaim, donor, collector, and scholar of Indian and Islamic art speaking on the Museum’s new acquisitions of Tibetan art, Indian art, and Colonial Photography.
