Screen on the Green, San Diego’s treasured outdoor film fest, is celebrating it’s 11th anniversary this year on August 4th. Viewers are invited to “pack a picnic, grab a blanket, and bring their friends” to enjoy a leisurely evening on the east lawn. Traditionally, more than 800 viewers attend each film. This program is free to the public.
The Bollywood film, Love Aaj Kal, presents two love stories that take place in different time periods, but with similar themes. The older Veer Singh narrates his own story of love in 1960's India to the Younger Jai, in an attempt to prevent Jai from leaving his relationship with Meera in present-day London.
Running time: 128 mins. Not rated. 2009.
In partnership with the San Diego Asian Film Foundation
