On Saturday, December 8, 11am-1pm, hear from Tim and Ron Ranson about their adventures in Nepal. The lecture will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Used for centuries as a means to promote peace, love and compassion, Prayer Flags are a universal symbol for giving visual voice to your prayers, hopes and dreams. OMA invited artists from around the world to participate in this project based on Vivika Hansen DeNegre’s The Prayer Flag Project and the museum has received an overwhelming response from artists all over the world.
There will be over 100 hand-crafted flags hung in the OMA lobby spreading prayers throughout the community. Included in the installation will be Prayer Flags of Nepal, a video by two North County filmmakers, father and son team, Tim and Ron Ranson.
Admission to the preview reception is $10 and complimentary for OMA members and Prayer Flag Artists.
