Why do we celebrate Hanukkah as a time of a great miracle - and not as the anniversary of a military victory? Why do Christians celebrate Christmas as Jesus' birthday, when it is not even mentioned in the New Testament as such? Why do both Jews and Christians make such a big deal of their respective mid-winter holidays?

The presenter is Dr. Yehuda Shabatay, professor of Religious Studies at San Diego State University receiving his doctorate in Hebrew Literature, Bible, and History from The Jewish Theological Seminary of America in New York.

Location: College Avenue Center, 4855 College Avenue San Diego, CA 92115 Google Maps
