On June 9th, 2012, distinguished panelists from across the country will contextualize the Museum's exhibition on 14th century tapestries at the San Diego Museum of Art for the 'Symposium: The Invention Of Glory'.
Donald LaRocca, Curator of Arms and Armor at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will discuss medieval armor and warfare. Barbara von Barghahn, Professor of Art History at The George Washington University, will provide an art historical overview for the time period of the tapestries, and exhibition curator Dr. John Marciari will discuss the works in the show in detail.
