This film is about the motorcycle road trip, including a visit to a Peruvian leper colony, that Che Guevara took in his youth that showed him his life's calling. Part of Friday Talking Pictures, a world-spanning monthly celebration of contemporary and classic cinema viewed on a wide silver screen.
June spotlights five inventive films featuring outsiders who reflect the theme of social displacement found in the three books: "Sky of Red Poppies" (Zoe Ghahremani), "Moloka’i" (Alan Brennert), and "Into the Beautiful North" (Luis Alberto Urrea), all 2012 One Book, One San Diego selections for 2012.
